The design features our own design approach based on the "Maneki Neko" (招き猫), we went with the Japanese bobtail cat without the bobtail ;) as the base of our design, the cute cat design is printed on the body and toe of the shoes, Maneki Neko is the popular Japanese lucky cat figurine also known as "Beckoning Cat".
The "Maneki Neko" represents good fortune and prosperity and is often believed to bring good luck to the owner. We named our cat "Manekiko"(招き子) which translates to "Lucky Kid" to closely resemble to the sound "Maneki Neko". The background features the classic "Seigaiha" (青海波) wave patterns to give off that Japanese art vibe.
